A PUP PUP Tale

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness..."

So summing up, Pup Pup Portraits™ (I) was born in a little town in Iowa always surrounded by animal friends.  Along with the many different types of animals I resided with I also enjoyed a little thing I liked to do called "coloring".  The "coloring" grew into a passion that thought it was a good idea to study art at a Big 10 school, which in turn lead me to seek a different life outside of my little Iowa town.

Queue a little Minnesota town outside of a pair of big Minnesota cities.  Well I was here, I met my beautiful and equally small town dweller of a wife (let's call her #2 or #3, see below).  We fell in love, got a dog, built a house and then got married - not good so order with.

...A Little More Tale

With our dogs we realized that they did and loved other stuff besides eating and destroying our house.  That led us to lure coursing which is a "nice" way for our dogs to go hunting after small game.  Lure coursing is something most sight hounds love to do and of course the bipeds in the family are just a little competitive, so for our part we love watching them chase after fake bunnies.

OK, NOW the summary: canines doing what they were meant to do (besides being a good friend) are a cool thing to witness and thus prompted yours truly to capture that in a colorful artistic form.

Check out some examples on the site and contact us so your pup can be on the site also.

And Under 1 List

If you resemble anything like my household, the dog(s) that reside with you generally will rank higher in the overall pecking order than you.  Just a fact my web surfing friend.  And for your convenience, a bit of a list in case you're wondering or forgot where you rank to others:

1.  dog(s) - regardless of breed, color, sex, size or age

2.  your children (dogs only bark back and don't know how to text)

3.  your significant other (dogs can't really verbalize disappointment)

4.  your feline friend/enemy (come on, really, dogs aren't that indifferent to your existence)

5.  optional - your roommate (dogs typically don't pay rent late) or visiting relatives (they will eventually have to leave)

6.  a plant that was given to you by great aunt Alma

7.  you - maybe, unless I forgot something

The point of my numerals - your dog is probably one of the most important creatures in your life, how about a unique and cool present that you and the others on the list will cherish for a long time.

Yours Truly,

#7
